True Beauty Inside & Out: How Sarita Rodriguez is Shaping Health and Fashion in the Valley

Official Interview Feature • Lifestyle & Wellness Spotlight

From high-end luxury styling and national image consulting to founding Recalibrate Wellness, Sarita Rodriguez has spent nearly two decades defining true elegance in Las Vegas. We sat down with her to discuss her move to Summerlin, her Raiders stadium commercial debut, and her holistic mission to help people look and feel their absolute best from the inside out.

Benjamin: With Live The Good Life In Las Vegas magazine, we love capturing people's real stories. I’d love to know first of all, how did you end up moving out here to Las Vegas? Can you tell me that story?
Sarita: Close to twenty years ago, I was actually living out in Santa Monica, about six blocks away from the beach. One Christmas, we decided to come out to Las Vegas to meet up with some family members. We were staying right on the Strip, and my bf at the time was kind of adventurous and just asked, "What's west of the Strip? What's over there?"
Sarita: So we took a drive, ended up in Summerlin, and looked around at how absolutely beautiful it was. Back then, there was zero traffic, you could literally do a 360-degree turn with your car and not hit another vehicle because nobody was around! We fell in love with it instantly. By the following 4th of July, we were officially moving into our new townhouse.
Benjamin: That is wild! So you’ve been living in Las Vegas for almost twenty years now?
Sarita: Yes, almost twenty years.
Benjamin: Wow. Looking back at those two decades, what’s the best thing or the most meaningful thing that has happened to you while living here?
Sarita: Oh gosh, so many wonderful things have happened. I actually welcomed another child since moving here! I already had my son Matthew when we arrived, and then I had Augustine, whom I homeschool.
Sarita: On top of that, I actually got the chance to be featured in a Raiders commercial for Allegiant Stadium that ran for three years! That was an incredible experience.
Sarita: Professionally, I also completely pivoted my career path while living here. I used to be deep in the luxury fashion and makeup industry, but recently, I transitioned into the health, wellness, and holistic industry.
Benjamin: Oh wow! Tell me a little bit about that shift. How did that unfold?
Sarita: I think I just hit a wall. For a long time, I was freelancing as a makeup artist and running a virtual image consulting business, even way before 2020. I had clients all over the country. For instance, if an author was going on a book tour and didn't know how to style their wardrobe or do their makeup for the stage, I would help them with that. I also worked with clients who were contemplating transitioning genders, helping them figure out everything from undergarments to outerwear.
Sarita: But at a certain point, I just felt there had to be something deeper than just makeup and clothes. Even though I loved making clients feel confident, I felt called to something else. I stumbled into health coaching and realized it perfectly aligned with what I was already doing—styling and makeup are all about talking to people and building trust, and I already knew how to run a virtual practice. Plus, I’ve always lived a fairly healthy lifestyle and was raised to be very open to holistic practices by my mother. It just clicked. I went back to school, graduated top of my class, and the rest is history!
Sarita: Now I combine all my experiences to help people not just look better, but truly feel better through my business, Recalibrate Wellness.
Benjamin: That is absolutely amazing. Can you share a quick success story from your practice that really left an impression on you?
Sarita: When a client tells you they were able to safely decrease their antidepressant medication, that is a massive win. Along with that, they see physical changes like weight loss. A lot of mental health medications are treated as lifelong prescriptions by our current medical system, but the system is built around treating symptoms rather than the root cause. A doctor rarely asks how things are going at work or home, or why your blood pressure is high in the first place. There are so many lifestyle factors to look at before simply labeling it as standard depression or anxiety.
Benjamin: That makes so much sense. If people want to reach out to you for a consultation, what is the best way for them to get a hold of you?
Sarita: My website, recalibratewellness.com, is definitely the best place to jump on and schedule a consultation. You can also explore my resources through my Linktree. But I am also highly interactive on social media! If anyone messages me on my Facebook Profile, my personal Instagram (@sarita_isabelle), or Recalibrate Wellness Instagram, I will personally reply and talk with you. All of my initial consultations are completely free, and because my entire practice is virtual, I can work with clients anywhere across the country—you aren't limited to Las Vegas.
Benjamin: Perfect. I will make sure to hyperlink your website and your social profiles directly into this article so people can connect with you easily. Now, switching gears completely, having lived in Vegas for twenty years, what is the number one thing you absolutely love about living here?
Sarita: I love that you can do fashion for all seasons here, even if our seasons are a bit unconventional! We get very hot weather, then maybe three weeks of beautiful fall or spring, and then a blast of winter. But it’s a fantastic city for style. You can wear layers, style your favorite boots, or throw on a summer dress. You can express yourself artistically through fashion in any way you want, and it’s completely embraced. You can't necessarily do that in certain other cities.
Sarita: Another huge perk is that everyone eventually comes to visit you! You rarely have to spend money traveling to see family because everyone always finds an excuse to vacation in Vegas. No matter the holiday or family reunion, people just show up here. Even the ones you might not expect to hear from will let you know they're in town!
Benjamin: (Laughs) That is so true! Everyone loves a Vegas trip. Alright, final question. If you had a magic wand and could change just one thing about Las Vegas, what would it be?
Sarita: I really wish our community was a bit more open to the arts and culture on a broader scale. It has definitely come a long way, I remember being there right at the beginning when the concept of First Friday and the Arts District first started, which was a big deal.
Sarita: But outside of the downtown area, we are still a bit limited. We don't have enough museums or cultural hubs, especially for older kids and teenagers. There are an abundance of trampoline parks for little kids, but if you want your teenagers to grow in history, culture, and the arts, there’s not much else. I'd love to see more of that growth spread throughout the valley.
Benjamin: I completely agree with you on that. Well, Sarita, this has been an incredible interview. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing your journey with us! I'll get this posted and keep you updated. It was so good talking to you!
Sarita: Thank you so much, Benjamin! I appreciate it.
